“Orthodontics is a profession prioritizing in improving self-esteem and creating lifelong aesthetic, healthy smiles. For me, it all started with my own smile and confidence transformation as an orthodontic patient in my teenage years and it became something I immediately knew I wanted to pass along to others to help change their lives as mine was changed."
“I am passionate about helping people achieve their best smile and improving their self-confidence and overall dental health. It is exciting to experience the positive energy and atmosphere that we have in our offices and how that reciprocates with our patients. Truly transforming someone's smile is the best part of what we do.” – Dr. Comstock
A native of Franklin, Dr. David Comstock stayed close to home for his undergraduate education, attending Franklin College for his Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He continued on to Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis for his Master of Science in Biology.
With a lifelong interest in dentistry and a goal of pursuing a career that blended art, science, and medicine, Dr. Comstock attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for his Doctorate of Dental Medicine where he graduated in the top ten percent of his class. He then went on to receive his Master of Science in Dentistry and specialty certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from Indiana University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Comstock believes strongly in continuing education to ensure his patients will receive the best possible care. Orthodontics and its technology are always advancing; reading and assessing the most current scientific literature and utilizing his memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists and the Indiana Dental Association helps Dr. Comstock keep his orthodontic knowledge and skills sharp.
Dr. Comstock returned to his hometown of Franklin, where he now lives with his wife Jaya and their corgis named Echo and Tango. They enjoy spending time with their families, watching movies, going to their favorite bands' concerts, and getting on the lake or beach. He is also a huge Indianapolis Colts fan and a baseball fan (Go Cards, Dr. Martin!).
Being active in the community is important to Dr. Comstock, as it relates to his core values. He treats the local communities as an extension of his own family; giving back to the communities where he grew up has always been one of his main goals as a dental professional.
